Car would not start yesterday as the battery was very low after no use in a fortnight, started the car using the booster pack and had a wee blast in the sun, came home and put it on a trickle charge. Tonight the charger indicated that the charge was complete and I uncoupled the charger, had a wee look at the indicator light on the battery and can only see a faint red glow in the dark garage, coupled up the old drop test gauge, it showed about 12.5v(lower that the OK mark) and dropped to 11v when loaded, so is the battery now showing signs of it ready to give up the ghost does anyone think? it's not 3years old yet but has not done a lot of work in that time, mainly sitting in the garage. Will check it starts in a couple of days to see if it is holding a charge before I speak to Honda.

Is it a fully sealed battery or can you inspect the electrolyte levels?
Yes this is the space where a signature should be and no, this is not a signature.

Why you do not want to order ANY of your S2000 parts from ANY UK Honda Dealer

Checked the battery tonight, it's a sealed no maintenance unit unit but has marks on the side to indicate acid level which shows as the upper limit, fully charged it's on 12.4v-on load test it's at 10.6v which is on the ok/weak marker- after the test it reads 11.8v so I'll get the dealer to test it at service time next month and see what he reckons.

No reason for the dealer to check it, those readings say it's fooked, better to get it replaced before it lets you down.
