So I have been doing quite a bit of research reguarding my turbo AP1 build. Now all along I have had the idea of doing a 3mm HG to obviously lower the compression to get me in my 500whp goal on 93 oct. but after seeing that the real street car is on stock compression I have been questioning if the head gasket is even needed. If 500whp was to be done on the stock comp. what precautions would need to be taken? Race fuel only... Meth on pump... ??? Is there any way to 500-600 hp stock comp. pump gas safe I guess would be my question

Use e85, race gas or meth.

What would the limitation of 93oct and stock compression be?

limitation would be how much meth you could shoot into it lol. Look @ real street... 700hp+ on stock motor, just springs and retainers... i think 500 is quite obtainable... now go worry about your diff turning into a hand grenade.

real street has arp head studs, and a fully built head with bc cams, not knocking tham at all, just saying its more than just springs and retainers, and for the tc do you have access to e85, if so they 500 is no problem on a stock motor

Don't use the headgasket trick, not needed. The motor can handle 500whp w/o problem, real question is can you do it on pump gas. That will depend on the size of turbo you go with.

Then you'll deal w/increase in lag just to get 500whp and not have as fun a car imo.

No E85... I live right outside of Hartford, CT. But mass. Has a station that's only about 30-40 min away from my work so I have been thinking about just filling up a 55g drum every so often since the s2k is not my daily. But I also do have access to 110oct leaded cam2 that is conviently only about 2 min away from my house

They make a big deal about not ever having taken the head off the car.

Its no rocket science here. Efficient equal length mani and either 100plus fuel or 93 and meth injection. 500 should be easy to achieve. Hell you can get 450+ with a log and meth. Realstreet's car is insane. Amazing what a good setup and Q16 can achieve.

I should say what a good setup, Q16, and a great tuner can achieve. The person running the laptop is probably the most important part of the equation.

+1, I was also under the impression they are still on OEM headstuds. Could be wrong though.
