Someone local just bought a brand new STI from Richmond Subaru and they delivered the car to him full of scratches and damage to the clear coat. He tried to be reasonable and paid out of his own pocket for the dealership to fix it (detailing package: $300) and it came back even worse.

For the last few weeks the dealership has treated him like shit. Subaru Canada got involved and he finally just got to speak with the GM, who seemed helpful: "I don't ever want to see your face here again".

A bunch of us (10 so far on the RS.net thread) are signed up to a show of support at Richmond Subaru if they won't work with him. Hopefully Subaru Canada will take notice and do something about this scumbag dealership.

I've been reading that thread on Revscene! That's such a shame. If they burned through the clearcoat, that's going to be $$$. I'd be livid.

I read the RS post as well. That is terrible and I have seen other complaints about that particular dealership. Should post on NASIOC and Canada Club WRX as well...,

Damn, from the pics above, it doesn't even look like a brand new car. Put in a claim with the BBB.

Should have brought it to me right away. I could fix those :D

But in all seriousness, wow... imagine purchasing a brand new car and having it delivered like that. :thumbdn:
