Does this fit under the fold down headunit pannel?

Is it any good?

Do they work with an ipod/iphone?

Lots of people have these and there's quite a few threads. They do fit.

The Alpine site/manuals give details of which models work with and more importantly, charge which iPhones/iPods. Check there before you buy.

IDA-X100 HU - Fits fine
Alpine BT400 bluetooth box hidden behind passenger side panel.
Full speed iPod lead
Modifry dash mount and iPhone 4 holder. (Phone runs tom tom, phone and music)
Dash control adaptor

Works great.

4 channel amp feeding door component speakers and roll bar component speakers (All speakers are Alpine 16cm components).

HU accepts music input via iPod lead, aux feed or bluetooth.

Can dial from HU, select tunes either from HU or iPhone (depending if input is iPod lead or Bluetooth), music fades during calls or tom tom voice instructions.

Hi Gary - you mention that you can dial and select tunes from the HU, but does it need to be plugged in or can you do both through bluetooth?

I can dial from the HU when it's on Bluetooth.

When playing music via Bluetooth I have to select the tunes via the phone/iPod. You need the Alpine iPod lead for that.

With the Ida-x100 I have, when you plug it in to the iPod lead, you hand music selection to the HU.

I can only select tracks on the iPhone display when it's on Bluetooth.

Yeah that sounds good. Their are a few on ebay which im going to bid on. They go for around £75 second hand. Plus i will need to buy the lead so the dash controlls work.
