Hi guys,

Lately my idle has gotten bad to the point where the car shudders and shakes really bad, happens only when the car is already warmed up and I have to start it again because if I start the car after sitting for 8 hours the choke kicks the idle in high. But I’ve also noticed the idle when the car is first started has started to get erratic.

I’ve cleaned the IAC and TB about 3 weeks ago. I’m suspicious of the gas I’m getting because it’s a cheapo (Delta) gas station and even though its 93 who knows what’s in it. Plus i get the feeling the car isnt really as responsive as it used to be..

Is there a certain brand of gas the S likes?? I always use 93 like im supposed too but i have people i know telling me that it doesnt matter where i get the gas if its 93 it shouldnt be causing these idle issues..

you should be only using either techron or shell gas station. the rest are garbage....

Depending what mileage.. Usually spark plugs and O2 sensor replacement would fix this

I never put crappy gas in my car anymore (citgo or similar) I always try to put shell or mobile, and last choice BP. When I did use the crappy gas, I did notice my car didn't like it at all.

well what I put in my s2k is half shell with v power and half chevron with techron. Vpower+Techron = VTEC!
