You should check out NFRs2000NYC's car. He did his whole car in red plasti-dip.

Looks awful. Hopefully this prevents other S2000 owners from doing this. At least it's reversible I guess.

Even though it peels off
I think it would protect the gloss and paint from your everyday salt truck / road splatter

Come spring peel it off and your paint should look great
