What's up with the exhaust? Is it home made?

Last car I had here with a home made exhaust had serious power loss.

yeah, it's custom from stock cat back 2-1/2"pipe to two vibrant mufflers. first f1 racing headers. these were all on when i bought the car only three weeks ago. i had a week worth of running strong, now this.

regardless if it drains or gains horse power, i plan on going back with stock exhaust and cat, but keeping the headers. i really can't handle the loudness and droning. sounds cool when you floor it, but irritating as a dd.

today i:
-changed plugs. used the iridium #2688 heat range 8, gapped at .040
- removed v-tec solenoid for inspection purposes. screen was perfectly clean. not a spec of dirt or metal.
- cleaned throttle body and map.
-changed the oil and filter. used stock honda filter and castrol 10w-30 syntec.
- removed cai and cleaned K&N filter with k&n recharge kit, being careful not to over oil.
- reset ecu using fuse pull method.

still not running right. idles perfect, goes into v-tec, but after i fixed that vacuum leak i still feel like i'm missimg something, about 10-20% of power throughout all gears and rpms.
oh well, off to the dyno this monday. hopefully i'll get some useful info with the a/f mixture. wadzii's gonna meet with me and help me out. i want my S2 back! this is getting sooo irritating!

by the way, i've been keeping a really close eye on my oil and only checking it at cold, in my carport. it seems that i may have exaggerated my oil consumption measurements. i don't' have a clear number as qts to fill-ups or miles, but i don't think it's anywhere near 8/10 of a qt per fill-up.

finally got a cel! i've never been happier to see that little light, haha. p1457 evap control system leak (evap canister system) i cleared it and went on a few drives and it never came back. i checked under the gas tank area for loose/cracked hoses or canisters etc.. didn't see anything. i'm hoping my problem is related to this and not something new all together. definitely seems to be running craptastic again.

i'll be at the dyno tomorrow and maybe we'll get a better look at the underside. if nothing comes of the dyno test i guess i'll have to fork out for a smoke test.

Hit the dyno yesterday. HP was in spec per a stock ap1. Showed some noticeable slippage in the clutch.

Gonna order a new disc and have the fly wheel resurfaced.

So I'm pretty sure that's my problem. My car runs/idles fine, but doesn't seem to have the pull/power it did before. It gets worse the more I drive and doesn't throw any dtc's, so it makes sense to me. I haven't noticed any burning clutch smell but I have seen it do some funny floating at high toms as I shift into third.

I'll update as soon as I get it put in.

A big thanks to wadzii, nice guy and a true pro. Thanks again.

In my experience with other platforms. If you have am evap leak. You can intermittent power loss. Most of the time below a quarter of a tank and after fill ups. Not positive about our platform though.

From what I read, there is no adverse effects toward engine performance. That still won't stop me from tracing down the evap problem. As for now, I'll see what results the clutch renders.

I cleared the evap code Sunday and have driven plenty with no new codes. Sometimes these evap codes can take months to pop back up.
