I've used trim up auto ltd in richmond, quick work, sturdy looking patch and filler.

Not to threadjack, but what about places who does top replacements? Or plastic to glass window conversions?

I'd be interested in this too...even if I have to come down to the coast to do it. The only guy up here did a horrible job on miata. I may just do it myself.

I stopped by Pacific Auto Trim on West 4th and they gave me a patch for free a few years back, when I went in to inquire about a small tear (similar to the DIY post in this thread).

I ended up ordering a Robbin's OEM replacement (plastic window), and they installed it for $600. There was a small defect due to the type of thread they used in the stitching, they e-mailed Robbins and ended up helping me get Robbins to pay for the extra labour to remove and seal up the seam with sealant before re-installing the top.

Very good service and they'll get the job done right...

I might still have some tear aid type b vinyl patch for anyone with a small rip in their top or if you'd like to reinforce certain areas. Can give it away for free or for whatever you guys think its worth to you.
