Just as a matter of interest i did an overall of my front calipers due to one sticking on.
got the parts from brakes international but noticed the pistons are flat on the back but honda ones are concave on the back, is this for a reason ?.

Pre AP-Racing BBK, I had all of my calipers re-finished and re-built by BiggRed and I fully intend to have them perform the same work on the calipers for my Golf runaround.

Great quality finish on the calipers, absolute trust in the fact they've been professionally checked and tested and the pricing is very reasonable.

There's also no other way to get such a thorough, uniform and hard-wearing finish on the component unless it's been taken to pieces, blasted and properly done.

Looking forward to using them again.

I had all of mine done last year before selling my last S and the finish was pretty good. They also painted the carriers for me as well but didn't re-assemble the carriers unfortunately as they said they didn't know how they go back together.

The work they did was good but I don't know if I'd rather buy a replacement from a motorfactors in future as its quicker, easier and not hugely different price.

I recently did mine with the kit from this ebay listing - the same kit you got, i guess? The piston was a spot on match to my OEM and it really wasn't difficult to do.

Cleaning up and painting was easy, too. I used a circular carbide sanding attachment for a drill (got through 1 wheel per caliper!) and used a brush to paint black before applying 'S2000' decals and (spray) lacquering. To do all 4 corners took probably 1/2 day of work (drying time obviously not included).

I've got that Brakes International kit for my rears, good to know you had a positive experience with the fronts kit.

I have to hold off on brake upgrade for now, I need suspension work. But I would love a caliper rebuild.
