Default Skunk2 Stage2 cams, comparaison dynosheet included

Hi guys, I always heard a lot of bad things about Skunk2 cams In F2Xc engine, but never really seen a setup how really have the supporting mod to use those.

Since I have a Dynojet Dynamometer, I decide to install those on my f22c for testing

we compare here

f22c 2004 80000 km
stock TB
stock AP2 cams
stock intake tube
PasswordJDM snorkel with BPI 3'' velocity stack and K&N 6'' Air filter
S2000 megapower rare header
Invidia 70 mm test pipe
Challenge USA GTA-S exhaust (75mm)
Hondata Kpro fully tuned

VS

f22c 2004 80000 km
Skunk2 Pro Serie 74 mm TB with intake port matched
Skunk2 Stage 2 cams
3.5'' intake tube
PasswordJDM snorkel with BPI 3.5'' velocity stack and K&N 6'' Air filter
S2000 megapower rare header
Invidia 70 mm test pipe
Challenge USA GTA-S exhaust (75mm)
Hondata Kpro fully tuned

before changing the cams, the car was test with the 3.5 intake, and only give 2 whp on dynoruns with complete tuning.

here is the dynograph before and after

never forget that all skunk2 Cams for S2k required head porting to deliver the full potential

I also test with custom tuned 3.5'' CAi that a made and peak the power at 234 whp

nice gains! so when you added the cams, you also changed the throttle body and replaced the stock intake tube with one of the same exact shape but with a 3.5 inch diameter correct?

me personally, i would get rid of the snorkel and just make one long pipe. i'm sure there's more in it.

do you plan on adding cam gears and degreeing the cams?

Like I wrote just after the dyno sheet, I test with my custom tune 3.5" and the power goes up of 2 whp peak, but the sound is so much drone.

The test before and after was both done with 3.5 tube to and the stock air tube, the power with stock cams was 218-220whp (with stock tube or 3.5 tube)

With the cams and the 74 mm TB it's 232 with 3.5 short tube and snorkel, and 234 with 3.5" CAI

I'm not sure what I will do next, I want to test Brian Crower 2 and 3, and I don't knoe if I want to pay for the expensive toda cam gears.

I take a look to test Inline Pro Intake manifold, or a custom made by Raceheads

Do you have any dyno plots showing what the intake mods did on their own?

Well with my own experience running an sos 70mm TB and port matched to the manifold, it is worth about half of this amount in NA form.

I don't disagree that some of the gains could be due to the TB on this build, but when I tested an oversized TB on my mildly modified '08 AP2, it made literally ZERO difference in anything. You have an SC, right? If so, then I don't think it's a good comparison.
