Default Condensation inside

My S is currenlty spendding the winter SORN'd. Sadly I dont have a garage so it spends its time under a car cover (which i ensured was breathable). Every few weeks I take the cover off and run it for 20 mins to keep the battery charge etc.

However with the cold weather, there is a lot of condensation inside, on the inside of the windscreen and roof. This is dripping onto the dash and seats, carpet etc and I dread to think what damage it might do.

Does anyone have a way of dealing with condensation.? Is there something I could buy and put inside the car to absorb the moisture ?

hope someone can help.

I've told the family to save any silca sachets they get in their xmas presents !

You could try a plastic tub half filled with rice and no lid.

Make sure there's no water in the boot or in the rain gutters under the softop. If the drains are blocked then a build up of water might be sitting in the gutters and contributing to the condensation that you're getting.

There are things you can buy from Frosts to absorb moisture & (I think) re-charge them in the oven.

It'll probably only help mitigate - not using a car isn't good for it (says he with two garage queens!).

thanks for the tips.

I like flybikeeslee's suggestion. will give that a go. combined with a wipe down once a week inside.

I don't want to leave the cover off as that will just mean i have to keep cleaning it everytime the seagulls decide to come inland...
