tonneau cover s2000
I was just cleaning out my garage and I found the tonneau cover for my car. I realize that the only time I ever used it was the drive home from the dealership then it went in the garage and was never touched again. I know I should keep it in the trunk but I like to use the recessed space for other stuff that I don't want rolling around the trunk. Do does anybody ever use the cover? Are there any benefits besides aesthetics to have the cover on? Anybody try any of the aftermarket ones?

I use it. I squeezed it between my Mugen top to prevent my soft top from collecting dust, even though it didn't fit right.
I actually like it and think it looks nice when the top is down.

I use it when I expect to be top-down for an extended period, such as a track day, or driving on US 191 on the local Wake the Devil trip. It definitely helps keep dust out of the inside of the soft top during those days.
I've also found it helps reduce the buffeting air to some degree, albeit very small.

I guess keeping out dust is a pretty important piece since when you put the top up you are probably going to be breathing in all of the junk, it would defeat the purpose of the cabin filter.
Thanks for all of the input.

Some do, some don't. It's a matter of preference.

You'll be breathing in the dust that collects in the rest of the cabin even if you use it. No one's done any meaningful studies on whether dust with a top up is drastically reduced with or without use of the tonneau cover that I'm aware of. Again, it's a matter of preference. It's your call to make.
