Yeah, they grip well and ride great too. Ride is more important than I first thought because our roads are rougher in places than I realized having owned SUV's for the past few years.

Thanks for the advice. I have my sights set mostly on the 04-05 years but will gladly go newer if opportunity presents itself. For some reason I like the look of the wheels best on those years plus I like the headrests with the hole and screen. My price limit is tentatively 18,000 but I can spring a couple more thousands for a great one. I need to take a deep breath and slow down.

I looked for about a year for a 06-09. Wanted theses years because they have all of the upgrades. Finally found a 06 with 32K miles that had never been driven in the rain. Very mature owner who bought it new and took perfect care of it. They are out there but you have to be very selective. I would pay a couple of $K more to get the car you don't have to worry about.
