Product Update Campaign: S2000 Spark Plugs
Dear S2000 Owner:
This notice has been sent to inform you of a potential
problem with your car and what you need to do to have it
taken care of.
What is the problem.
Faulty spark plug gaskets may cause the spark plugs in
your car’s engine to loosen. A loose spark plug can
create an engine misfire and cause the Malfunction
Indicator Lamp on the instrument panel to stay on.
What should you do.
Call any authorized Honda dealer, and make an
appointment to have your car updated. The dealer will
install new spark plugs, and update the spark plug
information in your S2000 Owner’s Manual, free of
charge. When you bring your car in, put the owner’s
manual on the passenger’s seat so the service advisor
can update the appropriate pages.
What to do if you feel this notice is in error.
Our records show that you are the current owner or
lessee of a 2000, 2001, or 2002 S2000 involved in this
update. If this is not the case, or the name/address
information is incorrect, please fill out and return the
included, postage-paid Information Change Card. We
will then update our records.
If you have questions.
If you have questions about this notice, or need
assistance with contacting a Honda dealer, please call
Automobile Customer Service at (800) 999-1009.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Sincerely,
American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
