Honda Recall for 2006 and 2007 S2000 Brake Boosters

By -

Many of you may already be aware, but in case you haven’t heard…

American Honda has released a statement regarding the brake booster in 2006-2007 model year S2000s (and 2006 Acura RSXs).  According to hondanews.com, they will voluntarily recall 5,239 Honda S2000 vehicles from the 2006-2007 model years and 13,113 Acura RSX vehicles from the 2006 model year in the U.S. to inspect and, if needed, replace the brake booster in these vehicles.  A production error may have allowed brake booster components to be produced outside of the original specifications, potentially causing decreased brake assistance over time, which could increase the risk of a crash.  No crashes or injuries have been reported related to this issue, which was discovered through warranty claim analysis.
