Purple on Blue S2000 Proves That Taste Is Subjective

S2000

We all have different tastes when it comes to car mods. But it’s safe to say that we can all agree on this S2000 abomination!

Opinions are, well, you know the rest of the saying. But the same can be said for individual taste. Some savor fine foods like caviar, others would rather devour a greasy pizza than fancy fish eggs. But few hobbies see such a massive divergence of opinion than the automotive realm. It’s here that you’ll find endless, hotly contested debates regarding what’s tasteful and what’s not. But we’re pretty sure that despite our differences, we call all agree that this unholy S2000 creation is most certainly not cool.

S2000

We spotted the abomination of Honda’s fantastic little sports car over on Craigslist. Because of course we did. For whatever reason, the current owner decided that painting his S2000 purple was a good way to make it more of an attention grabber. But there’s just one problem. You see, this thing has a blue interior. Now, if we weren’t talking about a drop top, that would still present a problem. But that just makes it even worse (and more visible).

S2000

Of course, the Barney the Dinosaur inspired paint wasn’t enough. So there’s also a massive F&F-style bookshelf wing, faux carbon (painted?) hood, and a body kit that looks like it was installed by a 5-year old fresh off a pixie stick-induced bender. To say that the panel fit on this “custom” S2000 is poor would be more than a bit of an understatement.

But hey, it’s only got 57k miles on an unmodded motor, so there’s that! Plus 17″ Enkei TS-10 wheels, TEIN Flex Z coilovers, a new top, and an INVIDIA N1 exhaust. And that’s pretty much all the nice things we have to say about this poor, mistreated S2000. We can only hope that some poor soul buys it and corrects all of these atrocities. Or at least puts it out of its misery!
