Good places to stay? I used to do track days up there and would just pick whichever cheapass motel was most convenient. Haven't been in many years and don't know what's good...

About three years ago I stayed at the Drury Inn a bit closer to downtown Birmingham. It was nice, and not too expensive (around $140 at the time).

We stay at the Drury near the Summit often. We've gotten great rates there (sub $100), but it's very dependent on demand. It always seems to ramp up around the Indi Event.

Indy and Zoom have started planning on there end the info I have so far...

There will be some changes to opening ceremonies like no stage on the back straight.

At this point there will still be activities with the drivers before the race so continue to stand by and as soon as I receive information to what those activities will be/are I will relay to the group.

It always is... It is crazy hard to get solid info out of my Indy contact even after organizing this for 10 years.... seems like they do the most minimal planning until they get done with the race preceding the next race.

Alright, I'm booked in at the Libery Park Hilton garden inn... Was going to follow the advice above and book at Drury, but wasn't available (at least via points vs real money).

Free cancellation until the 1st, but hopefully Indy comes through

Any updates? We are getting close to the time to even still be able to purchase tickets. I plan to go either way.
