Default Bama Dave Wake the Dragon Adventure

Well Lionel, Mike and myself spent a week of driving great mountain roads and meeting up with 150 S2000 from around the country and Canada. The week went by without a problems until saturday afternoon. I took one of the Canada guys for ride and overdrove my S2000 on one of the many roads around the area. When it was all said and done the mountain got the best of my front end bumper liners and all the hardware gone. The car was pulling to right and I was 600 miles away from home. This S2000 mechanic who name is Billman took the car and reailgned the front end so that the trip home would not eat my front tires, then the bracket that houses the radiator was bend back about 10 degrees. He also took a tow strip and wrapped it around a pole and attached it to the bracket and used the car to straighten the bracket back to its correct postion. All this with 50 people staying around in shock for what they had just witnessed. All in all the trip was worth every penny. I am very thankful to Billman and the group of people up there who helped me in my time of need. To any one who has not been to one of those event, go and check it out. The car is now a work in progress. Later BD. I will post up pictures and video very soon.

Billman is definitely one of the few people I would allow to work on my car. Dude seems to be extremely knowledgeable on S2000 trivia.

Yes that is the wounded Black Mamba. But the parts are being ordered and purchased to get her back in one piece. Stay tuned for more updates. Later BD

That's a decent sized ouch, but I'm glad you were able to keep the S on the road in order to drive back home.

This incident just means you get to spend more money on the car and get a new front lip of your choice. Maybe you could get a spoon front bumper? Or a Js? Go wild

And Mike, I still have the New Orleans sticker on my car. I dont think it is coming off

If you are gonna try to hang with the Canadians you need to bring your A game. Eh?
Cars damaged at WtdX
Canadians. 0
USA. 4
Maybe fluke can teach you how to properly spin and keep it on the road.
I will bring you a trophy next year for setting the high mark on the mountain.
Your wife asked me to throw some salt in the wound to straighten you out. I said no problem for my friend Bauma Dave.
