Sorry for the delay in responding!
The local PCA group would be a great group to plan an event with, very safe and well organized!
The challenge this year is the Fall date? At this time we do not have a date yet, they were wanting to try and swap from a December weekend to a more weather friendly weekend in October and or November, we will see how that works.
The June 20-21st event still has openings if that works for your schedule?
Pointers, smooth is fast :tipwink:

This is our last event at Barbers for 2015!
Fall Fest HPDE on October 3-4 @ Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama
Fall is an absolutely gorgeous time to be at Barber. We are running 4 run groups, so lots of track time for everyone!! As always instructors are provided at no additional charge. Everyone registered gets a t-shirt (don't forget to choose your size). This event will replace our December event, so this is the last Alabama Region PCA HPDE of the year, sign up now!!
Snell 2005 or newer helmets are still good.
Don't worry about missing any football, or Petit we will have the games or race on in 2nd floor of Race Control on Saturday.

We will also offer the Drivers Ed Experience (DEX)!!
A great 1 day introductory course for folks new to the track world. So if you have a friend or family member interested, please pass this email along. For $100 you get introduced to the HPDE world by being a part of the events of the day, (Saturday only). Which includes attendance at the driver's meeting, 2 classroom sessions, and 2 on track sessions. 1 on-track session you will ride with an instructor; in the instructor's car (60 mph max/no helmets); and; the other on-track session, you will drive your own car with your instructors guidance (60mph max, no helmets). Also, participants registered for the DEX will get one of our coveted, event t-shirts. Registration for the "DEX " will be limited to 15 participants. All registrants must be 18 or older. Better quality than the traditional parade laps but a still a non-competitive, relaxed introductory course.

Log on to ClubRegistration.net, under Driver's Ed. Register for the full event and get a friend to register for the DE experience and enjoy some fantastic track time and fellowship.
*** You must be registered and paid in the next few days to insure that you get a t-shirt***

Do any local hotels give a NASA discount?

TwoRs 10-05-2015 03:55 PM

Not sure.
The Hampton Inn is just outside the track and may have something but living local I never needed that info, let us know what you find out and I will pass it along.
