Looking for some advice...
I am going to try to make this as short as possible, but to cut to the chase it deals with my S2000 currently at a shop....
I began to have the engine worked on about 10 months ago after my ITB build led to the head gasket being blown. The shop I went with said the rebuild would take 60 days. I needed it completed quickly since we were moving overseas. The time lapsed, and I had to give him a power of attorney to ship the vehicle once it was complete. 10 months, as stated earlier, has lapsed. I am about 1,000,000% sure that he has just sort of put it on the back burner since I am not there. Right now, he has stated, it is only waiting final tune. That was about a month ago. The clock is quickly ticking to the expiration of the POA, and I just want my car. I have told him that I would like it shipped since it does have a basic tune, according to him. So, that is where I am at now. I have basically sent a second email stating this, as he didn't respond the first time. I am guessing that I am a little at his will, but wanted to see if anyone has had similar dealings or just some advice in the matter. This really sucks because I am in Germany and my car is in Alabama. I have floated giving a POA to a friend and take it to another shop, but am worried that the current shop might sabotage in a way that is devious. Any shops that folks knpow of that muight be willing to finish the task?

Is the car in Huntsville?
Seems like the thing to do is get it shipped and finish it there.
Sounds like you really have no idea the current condition of the car. Maybe get him to video a test drive before you pay him?

It is. I don't know the current state. Only what he has stated in emails, and the last just stated a final tune. The hard part is actually getting it here. It has to be in running condition to be shipped by the VPC in Atlanta.
