Most fun vehicles you have driven?
#2
I have to refer back to my Ninja again. I've never experienced a more pure and fluid connection of mind, body and machine (this sounds like marketing hype) than I have on 2 (or less) wheels. 0 to 100 in less time than it takes to sneeze, roll on acceleration that would snap your neck. You think, you lean, you turn, then over to the other side - repeat. Then there's that weird hyperspace type feeling once you pass 130 (maybe that's just me).
...I think I just soiled myself thinking about the good ol' days.

Mine would be:
1997 Vortech'd Cobra with 373:1 gears and full suspension. Even with the suspension mods, the car was a handful to drive fast in anything other than a straight line. While I respect the S2000 for its handling at the limits, the Cobra required a much more involved relationship. The S is just easier to drive fast. Nosman can attest to the personality of this vehicle, as he attended shows, etc. with me and that car.
I had an old bug with a friend (the same one that I built the hot pink ghia with) that had a 2110 cc engine, dual 48 IDA Webers and bus trans. That thing was FAST!!! Nothing could touch it in the 1/8 mile.
My 1990 Miata, more balanced and lightweight than the 1997 STO. Could be coaxed into a perfect 4-wheel drift very easily.
Finally, my 1984 GTI with the Scirocco 16V in it. Full Neuspeed suspension, 14" BBS and Yoko A008RS2's made for an evil machine.
CG, our tastes are very similar.

Most fun to drive ever, would be a 2001 125cc Italkart shifterkart. what's not to love about 50hp, and 380lbs with driver? The sequential 6-speed and clutchless shifting are just icing on the cake.
1989 Ferrari Testarossa was fun, although a pain in the ass to shift. The dogleg 1st was annoying, and the driver's footwell was offset to your right. The manual steering, and 400Hp made up for it.
All S2k's, I like driving even the stock ones, But the oversteer horibly with mismatched front and rear tires.
WRX, and WRX STI, the STI has a power band I love, and amazing brakes.
NSX The only rewarding part of working on one is the test drive.

You guys have driven a lot of fun cars! I guess I can only say my 3.
S2000
C5 Corvette
WRX (haven't driven the STI)
Um... Dirt Bikes are fun!
Oh, my black chrome badges came in, sort of. I got the front, the back, and ONE side emblem. I will have to contact HandA and get another one. I took off my sides and put on the new front and rear. I like em.

Tom, I had been asked if I would like to help instruct at a recent Ferrari day at TGPR by a guy with a Challenge car. I wasn't able to make it and I don't even know if the guy who invited me made it. I'm sure it would have been a fun day and hope I get another chance.
I've been very lucky to get to drive many of the cars I've driven. I instruct for 3 or 4 Corvette clubs when they all get together, the local Porsche club, and put on the GCR SCCA's drivers schools. For me a day of instructing is more fun and rewarding than a day of autocrossing -- by far.
