There are a handful of events happening this week that are part of the PVGP festivities leading up to the big race weekend. You can see the full schedule here, but I've listed some highlights below:
Waterfront Car Cruise
Tuesday, July 11, 2017, 4:00pm - 9:00pm
This is a huge cruise and is open to any and all cars. They ask for a $5 donation per car. I've been to this event many times and there are always some unique cars that I've never seen before. More info here: Car Cruise at the Waterfront
Downtown Parade & Car Display
Wednesday, July 12, 2017, 10:30am - 2:00pm
For those of you working Downtown like me, make sure you head out to Market Square on your lunch break for the PVGP car display. I'll see you out there! More info here: Downtown Parade & Car Display
Grand Prix Tune-Up at Atria's
Wednesday, July 12, 2017, 6:00pm - 9:00pm
I've never been to this one, but it always looks great. There will be a happy hour, appetizers, live entertainment, and a display of show and race cars on the Clemente Bridge! Tickets are $40 and it looks like you can still buy them online. Regardless of whether or not you buy tickets to the party at Atria's, the car show on the bridge would be worth the price of parking on the North Shore. More info here: Grand Prix Tune-Up
Forbes Avenue of Speed
Friday, July 14, 2017, 6:30pm - 8:30pm
The vintage racers will parade through Squirrel Hill and park on Forbes Avenue for a car show. This event is held in conjunction with the Annual Squirrel Hill Sidewalk Sale. Thought the weekend, you can find music, special activities, and food trucks to supplement the local restaurant offerings. Friday's parade and car show are open to the public and there is no charge to come and watch. So if you're looking for a Friday night date idea, go grab some dinner and check out the vintage race cars that will be tearing up Schenley Park this weekend! More info here: Forbes Avenue of Speed
