As soon as I get my 2d cup of coffee and can contort myself into the car I'll check my latest print which is 5mm wider than my last. Printed perfectly on a narrow brim. Hatchbox PLA at 215°C/50°C with infamous Elmers purple school glue stick on the bed to keep the corners from lifting. Still a 9 hour overnight print.
QiDi Tech-1 printer. QiDi slicer (subset of Cura).
5mm wider made it fit better in the front but still a tad too narrow but the back fits tightly so any change to the front shape is beyond my editing ability which is strictly scaling the whole model. The height is too low and the piece will move vertically which I can maybe scale as well as a bit too long fore and aft requiring the door to be pressed shut. In the car. For now. The Modiction pieces fit perfectly.
9 hours between prototypes and my editing skills eats a lot of time and filaments.
I can edit it for you if you give me the dimensions you want. It's also pretty easy to do with free tools. I typically use SketchUp, and there's a .stl plugin that you can install that allows you to import/export objects to .stl format.
Not sure if the AP1 console is different or not, but wouldn't surprise me if it was slightly.
Thank. Right now I'm just curious if whatever you print comes out better. This fits after a fashion but not as snuggly nor nicely as the Modifry multi piece version.
My spool of PETG got delivered yesterday but i didn't have a chance to mess with it until tonight. Printed a few tests to dial in the temp, and kicked off a print about 20 mins ago. So far looking MUCH better than the ABS... No layer separation issues so far, and the quality is looking much closer to PLA. I'm doing .25mm layers and tweaked my shell an infill settings a bit to try to shave some time off and it's showing sub 8hrs. I guess we'll see!
Fitment is okay... the angle on the left is a little off because the rear is reasonably snug while the front is loose. I might mess with the model and try to fix that, but i think with a little double sided tape on the right side, it will be generally fine.
