Default Great Mexican food in OCMD

Good afternoon! Mt wife and I are fortunate enough to spend our summers in Ocean City Md. The shore is a great place for the S. Both of us love authentic Mexican food. Recently we stumbled on a real deal Mexican restaurant in Selbyville Md. It also happens to be a great ride on a summer evening in the S. So we are passing it along to any of you who are now in or planning to be in OCMD. Take Route 54 West and follow it until you come into Selbyville. No turns. No lefts. No rights. No other roads. 54 takes you into the town. Its about 40 minutes. Turn Left on Church Street, go less than 1/2 mile, and on your left is "La Sierra" grocery/restaurant. The dining area is in the back. Selbyville has a big Hispanic population and this is where the locals shop and eat. Great tacos. Tongue and tripe! Great sauces. Three blocks down from this on the left is the second Mexican restaurant. I wish I could remember the name , but I can't. Very little English is spoken. The menus is in Spanish. Point to what you want and they will take care of you. On Fridays they serve "menudo", A Mexican soup with a beef stock that is flavored with red chilies(mild), cumin, garlic, onion, and cilantro. It chock full of beef tripe. My son swears it is the best hang over food ever. Tacos and moles are amazing! Prizes are very reasonable, both restaurants are clean, and service is friendly and helpful

The ride is really nice with winding country roads, farms with road side stands, and beautiful scenery. If you are in OCMD and need a break from the sand, sea, and the crowds this is a great ride that ends with amazing food. A word of caution . You will be passing through some towns that take their 25MPH very seriously. A sports car, with the top down and an out of state license plate is always a welcomed sight!. Be careful.
