Default Pitt Race and noise limits......

What do the locals know about noise limits at the track?
No electricity in the paddock / camping area either, correct?
Showers? Anything else I should know?

Will be there June 2 - 4 with NASA.

Thanks!!

The new owners have really put a lot of money into the track and the facilities. It is so much nicer than it used to be.

What do the locals know about noise limits at the track?

I do not remember hearing anything around noise limits,

No electricity in the paddock / camping area either, correct?

I believe you can get electric in the paddock, but you need to call them and reserve it. They also have garages available. I do not believe they have electric for camping.

Showers? Anything else I should know?

Yes there are showers in a few different locations. The one is a newer building (North Track Garage) that is only a couple years old.

I would say be aware that the track is located near a small town. So options for food and stores is pretty limited. Your best bet is probably going to Cranberry TWP if you need something. It is about a 25 minute drive from the track.

IMPORTANT!!! Just spoke with Jay Andrews -Great Lakes Director- there is no issue with noise at Pitt Race. They post a limit but it is from property line NOT trackside like we are used to. You guys are all good to go !!!
This just got posted to the NASA Facebook page.

Not sure if you saw this is or not, but they just finished repaving the original (north) track a week or two ago.

Might have to come up and watch!

I live about 40 minutes away from the track, let me know if you need anything or maybe try to get together one night if your schedule allows.

You should definitely try to make it.

There will be actual racing both days.

Tons of time left on the table but I was still learning the track and braking points. Video is a little boring as you wont even see another car, must have been a real shit show behind me.
