I was running in North Park about an hour ago and heard this obnoxiously loud exhaust coming from far away.

Usually when I hear before I see I give it a guess at what's coming. I determined this was definitely a 1988 Chevy Cavalier with no exhaust.

I waited about 2 or 3 minutes then around the bend comes a berlina black S2k.....

If this is one of our members, please don't take offense but it didn't sound so hot in my opinion.

It did have some nice looking black with polished lips wheels however.

I think I know the car you mean. Thats an Invidia exhaust. Loud? Yes. 88 Cavalier? No way. Could it be Black06S? BTW - much love to my Invidia brother.

It was not I lol but I did see the car in question.

Mine's bone stock except for an intake.

I was driving through north park on the Ingomar road portion and passed another berlina, it was loud...we exchanged friendly nods.

yesterday: NFR AP2 with the top down. Young guy driving.
today: Silverstone AP2, heading up into oakland (was right behind me as I was getting onto parkway)

funny how i'm seeing s2k's at this one intersection

oh, and there's a silverstone AP2 that parks next to me on the south side nearly every day. strength in numbers!
