Default WTB Low Mileage AP1 s2000

Hey Allegheny Region,

After lurking on the forums for quite a while it's time I finally am in the market to purchase my first s2000. I have been searching forums and other online websites and havent found the right s2000 for me yet. I was wondering if anyone in the region was contemplating selling their beloved s2000 to a responsible driver who has cash in hand and ready to buy. Now, onto what I am looking for:

2000-2003 AP1 s2000 with less then 45,000 miles

Onto the price. I'm looking to spend around $14,000 cash money. If you are interested or have something you think I might be interested in send me a PM or reply to this topic and I would love to talk more about your vehicle. Thanks for your time!

Cheers,
Tyler

I think you need to take a look at the market again. I think you are really going to have a hard time finding an AP1 that is clean with low miles like that. Even then you are probably going to need another 2-3k minimum to make the purchase and that's just the buy in...not the tax tags etc. The price on the S2Ks are starting to head back north again and it really seems to be based on the mileage and then the color combo. The sweet spot was 2 years ago when they announced they were going to stop making the car. Owners were trying to unload their cars or leases in order to grab a final year car.

Good luck with the search but know that it is worth it. It took me 6 months but I love the car more everyday.

I have found a few that are with in range, including a MY00 with 23,000 miles every factory options original owner all receipts from dealership for $14,950, which I am very willing to pay. I put $14,000 as a starting point because like you said with taxes, tags, and everything else but I have some room to wiggle for the right car.

Then go pick up your new car! If you have found a good deal and the car has what you want I would jump at it.

I agree, that's a good year but you'll have to keep an eye on oil consumption. I've heard that 2001-2003 did burn more oil. Not a big deal but a heads up. Where are you from and where is the car. If it's local someone in the club may have more information. Hannibal, what's the guy that lives by me that had his blue/black for sale, remember?

we do burn oil, but not so much that it would deter me from buying an ap1.......

tbp......im sure you've done the research, but i really narrowed mine to 02-03, since those small changes mean a great deal. your price is likely possible......i bought mine in 07 for 17,500 w/36k (just broke 52k last week )

Talked to the guy, picking the car up on Sunday in Connecticut. It is a 2000 and has every factory option and is 100% documented every oil change to all original paperwork needless too say I am thrilled beyond thrilled.

MY00 s2000 Silverstone 22,500 miles. OEM body kit including front bumper, spoiler even has the 6 disc CD changer. Car was completely documented and was under a car cover it whole life I will post pictures once the seller emails them too me. Can't wait for Sunday. Needless to say it wont be a 2,300 miles a year car anymore I'm driving her the way she was meant to be driven
