I'm having trouble logging I'n, i tried a month ago and it said invalid user name or password. I tried again today and still no luck 
But clearly i know my info...
Did i buy an app i won't he able to use?

Please try to login via Wifi as well. Some 3G networks have various restrictions and there is an option in TapaTalk settings to bypass those. I remember that option in the iPad application.

the android version has that compatibility switch as well.
By the way.. it works for me (without the compatibility switch) at least using HSPDA, UMTS, GPRS and Wifi (I use almost all of them daily)
