Default Any Greddy EMU tuners in AZ?

Hello. I will be moving to Phoenix in a few weeks and am doing a little research for potential modifications. I have only been researching the Greddy E-Manage Ultimate for a day or 2 to see if it fits my needs.
- Are there any tuners in Phoenix (or surrounding areas) that are familiar and willing to tune on the Greddy EMU.
- I hear they will work with the emissions tests in certain states. Does anyone know for a fact if they will work for the obd2 reader portion of the AZ inspection?

And please, do not recommend for me to get a standalone such as AEM, K-Pro, Hondata Flashpro (I love when people recommend a +06 engine management for a 00-05). K-Pro is a potential candidate if the EMU doesn't work.

Here is a little history of my ownership. I have owned my MY01 since mid '07. It has been turbo'ed with 2 different setups throughout 8 of those years. Due to my decision to drastically change the direction of my life, I have removed the turbo, sold my d/d (S is now my only car), and chose to move across the country. FL has no inspections, so I have been running an AEM ems since '08. It worked out well, but I am tired of not having CEL function. I am fed up with troubleshooting every issue with no help as to the origin of the discrepancy. I like the simplicity of the oem code reading ability. This is why I do not wish to run a standalone again.
As far as my direction: I now have a J's Racing intake, Berk HFC, Greddy SE and will eventually install 4.44 gears, Ballade header and possibly a SOS/Ballade throttle body. I am looking to clean up and add more mid range power. I am not too concerned with the final number. I plan to continue autocrossing and hopefully attend a track day or two every year.

Thank you for any help. I look forward to meeting some of you.

UMS can tune them. They will pass AZ emissions; AZ tests by checking your gas cap and hooking up a reader to your OBD2 port. If you aren't throwing codes and you pass all readiness checks, you'll be fine. Are you autocrossing for fun or competition?

Thanks.
Fun. I have been autocrossing out here for a few years with the North Florida Corvette Association. Any and everything that is not a corvette is classed together.

How is UMS's reputation? Are they experienced with the F20? Are there any locals that have used them to tune their S2000?

Depends who you ask but they definitely have experience tuning S2000's. Tony tuned my SC AP1, no complaints.

Your first sentence is not reassuring. Is there negative stigma with the shop amongst locals?
What software are you running on your AP1?

AEM and Haltech have plug-n-play ECUs for the AP1 cars but I don't think they have an OBD2 output.

Mixed reviews! Some were given especially good service compared to others experience. Do a forum search.
Science of speed used them for quite awhile, but they have their own dyno now.

Maybe it was a poor choice of words. I believe they are the most popular S2000 tuner in the area and have an overall positive reputation. They used to tune all of the cars for Science of Speed, although I'm not sure if that is still the case now that SOS has their own dyno.

I ran the AEM F/IC piggyback. Complete garbage and useless on a N/A car, but it got me passed emissions and didn't cause any engine issues. I know the EMU is kind of a specialty tune and some people won't touch it although it probably is your best option. I do believe UMS will tune it but contact them first to make sure.

UMS will do a good job but make sure you get your appt. asap because they are not available some days. The tuner is also a race driver.

Not sure how much you will get out of that Greddy but at least maybe you can move the vtec point to smooth out the power band. It will cost less to tune obviously.
