^ Not sure about that. The visor is right up in your face.

Also the higher, the better.

Yes, the higher up the mount, the farther the units sees - I just clamp mine under the visor on the passenger side so it's not blocking my field of view.

I have the same mount for my 9500ix and its hardwired in, very clean and convenient setup.

Now, you can also use the ZR4 with escort live on one package! Heh but hell, I figure why not just go 9500ci in the process.

I gotta find those links, but police (not sure what states and cities) how have the latest and greatest POP and Lidars so we gotta wait for escort to once again counter their toys in the never ending cat and mouse game.

I believe a majority of the leos in phoenix and the surrounding areas still mostly rely on Ka and Lidar I believe.

I do a good bit of reading in here as well and they have good information http://www.escortradarforum.com/forums/index.php

I am referring to the detector being parallel to the ground, so it has the farthest field of view front and back. How do you accomplish this if it is clipped on the visor? Tip it down while driving?

9500ci would be sweet.

I've mostly seen Ka on the highways, got popped with Lidar once at the north end of the 51, and boy was it loud! (oh, and all the falsies from the ILS systems near Sky Harbor!)

Have you noticed any places in the Valley using radar-based traffic sensors?

I initially got ALOT of falses, but the TSR and afew laps through your normal driving route to lock them all out makes for a nice ride. I also like the idea of the Escort Live but the main problem facing it is the lack of user base numbers. I have also been using WAZE recently and man its nice! ALOT of users everywhere and best of all, the program is free!

Oh damn another version? Who wants to buy an 8500 x50 black lol.
Looks like that detector has a new mount so it may take a while for aftermarket mounts to catch up.
