Default Curvy, uninhibited roads in North Scottsale?

I have a S2000 and want to find an area near my house, to have a little fun. Are there any curvy roads in North Scottsdale? (near shea 101, FLW 101, and Fountain Hills)

Thanks

Take Scottsdale Rd. till it ends and turn right. It'll take you to some twisties past Desert Mtn. etc. It's a fun drive and when you come back head to the Satisfied Frog or the Horny Toad for a cold one.

Best local run is Canyon Lake. Everything else is weak in comparison.

US-60 to Idaho exit. North on SR-88 - stay on SR-88 (you'll turn on Apache Trai to do so)l.

Follow Apache Trail to the end of the pavement Turn around.

This is the road bikers like.

Go 9AM to 10AM out there, or you will get stuck behind boaters.

Is this the trail that you were talking about? I have been to Saguaro Lake, but not beyond that. How much better does it get?

That's the one - only your route marked (nice map, BTW) is the extended scenic one. The faster, freeway version comes in from the left on US 60 in the lower part of your map and heads north on SR 88 right below the words "Apache Junction". Even coming from N. Phx like I did, I still went on 60: actually 51 south, 202 east, 101 south, 60 east, 88 north/east; then turned around. Whew!

It was beautiful though. Canyon Lake was very inviting... A little too much traffic going in but less coming back. A non-holiday weekend probably is great and the twisties are very cool!
