Lug nuts
I think I asked this a long time ago but wanted to verify. Someone mentioned that it would be "NOT" a good idea to try and replace the stock lug nuts with a different brand assuming I am using the stock wheels ?
I was looking at getting red ones but I think someone mentioned that aftermarket lug nuts on the stock wheels would not fit properly ? Is that true or am I completely wrong ? Thanks, |
Correct - Most oem wheels have a ball seat and most aftermarket wheels/lugs use a tapered seat.

What kind of lugs were you considering?
You pretty much don't want to put tapered lugs on OEM wheels. |
I just wanted red lugs, anyones that fit. Looks like im going to just keep the current lugs and not risk anything.

I'm sure there has gotta be a set of red anodized non-tapered lugs out there.
Check jhpusa or inlinefour. maybe even ebay. |
Why not just have the OEMs painted/powdercoated/anodized...?
|
I have a set I could try powdercoating red but the abuse from a socket will eventually break it down.

you should be able to buy an extraset from honda and have then anodized red. I have had that done to to metal parts in dallas not for my S but for stuff around the house.
