Well,
I took my car in for a CEL the other day to Tempe Honda and they now say that it possibly has a bent intake valve and may need the head replaced if any part of the valve broke off
Let me start by saying, I did NOT over-rev the car as I know this is a common issue but it is not the case I am starting to think the previous owner may have (I have only had the car for about a month and a half) regardless, Honda wants 5k to replace the head if its damaged and obviously less if its just a valve
I'm reaching out to the forum to find out if any of you know a place in the vally that could replace either for less cash and still do a good job as the f20c is a pretty picky motor
also if the head needs to be replaced is it worth it to port and polish it to get some extra power??

The labor to replace a the head is really simple if you have a torque wrench and basic tools. Would take you less than a day including beer breaks. Do you have a second car? If so pull the head off and bring it to a local shop like SoS for diagnosis.

can't you just get a valve job??? or does the f20c head not like them or something??? everyone is so quick to put on a new head. pull it and see how bad it is...

What is the CEL for? Are you sure it's a bent valve and how do you know? I would definately get a second opinion. How is the car running, different than before?

yea it was running bad and i pulled the CEL myself the head is fine they are just doing a valve job and everything should be okay...
9k... as far as coming over idk depends on when they finish the car!
