Pics from NASA PIR event
Just some pictures from the last NASA event at PIR on May 1+2. It was great to finally get the car on the track. Performed absolutely perfect for me. Very balanced and perfectly neutral on all my runs, minus the clutch pedal going to the floor(bleed screw came loose). Pics are certainly not the best, but figured I would post them up anyways. Jim or Jeremy if you want the fullsize, and or unedited, let me know!
I really hope more S2000 owners come out. NASA is back at PIR the first weekend of October. After finally tracking the car, I am mad I did not do it sooner. I felt like I was finally driving the car like it was made to do! I had no problems keeping up and passing just about everything out there in HPDE 1+2. I am certainly looking forward to my next time out in HPDE 3 with better drivers!
A little wave to the camera

It was a boosted factory five cobra. Fast as hell in a straight line, but I ate him up in the corners and under braking.
BTW, I was running 225 front, 255 rear Dunlop Star Specs, 34psi front, 33psi rear cold pressures (never got to check hot), ATE blue brake fluid, Challenge stainless brake lines, Hawk HP+ brake pads front/rear. Alignment was -1.7 front camber, -2.4 rear camber, 0 toe front, .30 toe in rear.
Keep in mind though, if its your first time at the track, a stock S2000 is more than capable! It was my first time tracking the S2000, but I have done a number of events in other cars, so I wanted to upgrade some of the basics on the S2000 since I knew I would be using the car more.

I can't stress enough how much every S2000 owner should at the very least do HPDE1. You will be amazed at what your car can do. You can't even approach it's potential on the street. I am so pissed at myself for waiting so long to do it and I never tracked my RX-8 at all.

It was nice to see a new S out on track and it was nice meeting you. NASA's next event is going to be on Firebird East which is a great little track. For those who don't know it is the one closest to the I-10 that many professional race teams test on. It will be Sat and Sun morning with 6:00am start times so we can be outta there before it starts to really heat up.
