Soft Top Repairs...

I know there are topics already started about this but I can not find exactly what I am about to ask. A friend of mine needs her top refitted around the glass or replaced altogether for her Cavalier. Since obviously the S2000's have soft tops and the S2Ki community is so great, I thought I'd see if anyone knows of a good cheap place to have this issue resolved. She had it looked at by one place who said they can do it for either $400 or $500 (I can't remember) but I'm not sure what is a good price on this type of work.

Any help would be great, Thanks all

Try calling or visiting The Top Shop, 1545 East Indian School. They did a nice and inexpensive patch top on my top shortly after I bought the car.

I have a bunch of OEM top material that I have been selling in strips if you need some 20 bucks for a 4x12 strip.

Thank you, but I'm not sure if it will help this problem (cause I'm not familiar with this kind of work). Just spoke with her again and apparently what's going on is the adhesive part to glass is worn off and falling apart. I talked to Top Shop and they explained how there is no patching or refitting, you have to get a whole new back window cause it will come already sealed to the window. But thank you guys again for the help.

That sounds like a lot of money for a Cavalier... Gorilla glue, rubber cement, silicone, rivets, staple gun. Macgyver that beast!

Hmm.. Yea thats what I was thinking. Might do it for her anyway and if it doesn't last well least I tried, and if it does then I'll be Macgyver in her eyes lol
