So I'm able to replace the whole door panel huh? That's interesting, something new to look into for sure.

So I tried to replace them yesterday but came back with the same error on my head unit. So it looks like it'll have to be the wiring that needs to be replaced. Is that difficult to do?

Yes, it's a direct swap. Next time were out take a look at my car, I have the revised AP1's as my car is an 02'.

I have several sets of door panels laying around in my car parts room. Let me go through them and see if I have a spare set of of them. I know I have one set, but those are for a project.

I am fairly positive that I have a set of AP1 that have holes cut for aftermarket tweeters already. You can have those if you want them. They are The Internets but I don't think he cares.

The head unit is giving you an error? You hadn't mentioned that before. Do you have the manual to look up the error code? Nice offer for the door panels, Feezy - it's an easy swap between the two and the wiring for the tweeters isn't a big deal, if you choose to go that route. Most component sets which have a separate tweeter will have a crossover that you'll have to find room for, either in the door or under the dash. That makes the split for the tweeters a simple matter.

Feezy, that would be amazing. You're sure that'd be okay?

Mini-F1, I looked up the code and it had said that it was either a problem in the wiring or the speakers. It had turned out to be neither...I had my dad take a look at it and all he did was take the fuse out and put it back in and it started working again. I feel pretty dumb, but on the bright side, I have new door speakers.

And now the research for tweeters begin. Apparently it's not too hard to do? Speaker wires go into crossover, and split from there to woofer/tweeter? Am I off?

And thanks again Feezy.

Wire feeds from your HU/AMP to the cross over and then it splits from there to your woofer and tweeter. There's a spot you can tuck most component crossovers into in the door liner.
