Valve adjustment
So it's about time I do a valve adjustment I looked at the DIY, doesn't look to hard but on every post it says to have an "expert". Has anyone in AZ phoniex area have any experience with this? I'll be more then happy to drive to you and save you the trip.
Thanks in advance.

It's super easy once you go through an adjustment. Mostly, it is about how to understand what feedback you are getting from the feeler gauges. If it's your first time doing a valve adjustment on a car, SOS is the a good go-to for a VJ, but Boofster is pretty good too.

I have done a good amount of them. Biggest thing to remember is the motor has to be cold- so driving it anywhere is not recommended. Unless you plan to leave it for a minimum of 5 hours (3 if you can leave a good fan on it) before work is started.

The job is simple. Tedious. Backbreaking from bending over the engine. But simple. Torque the valve nuts to 14lb/ft.
You may want a complete gasket set including the spark plug gaskets as the engine is very easy to position by hand with them out and the set is cheap. I did a compression check and fit a new set of spark plugs before I closed every thing up. New plugs come with anti-seize on the threads, don't add more. Torque to 24lb/ft, not 18.
Bent feeler gauges are required, you'll break the straight gauges if you try to bend them as they snap like glass. And the "very special" 10mm Honda valve adjustment tool ($12 on Amazon or Home Depot).
Engine should be below 100°F.
