Thanks! I didnt connect. The Atom would be a pleasure to see. I'm planning for two, so no extra room. Has anyone ever put on a permanent or used a temporary luggage rack?

No, its just called pack light and flip your underwear inside out and get 2 days out of them :tipwink:

Brandon or someone mind carrying some luggage?

I will have extra room if you need it.

*sigh* This sounds like a fun get together. If only I could commit to that far out this year.

Dancer, I had a luggage rack on one of my Miatas (previous owner installed it) and I never used it, not even for a two week drive up the coast of California and into Oregon. I just found a m/hotel with a laundry on premise about half way through the trip.

A few years ago I took my S out to Sedona and then the Grand Canyon for a full week, and my ex and I were able to fit all our luggage fine. And it was COLD too so we had heavier clothes with us. It's just a weekend, so I've got to believe you can fit anything you need in there so long as you use duffle bags and don't carry anything extraneous. For instance, hair dryer -- I brought a mini one and just used the ones they had at the hotels most of the time. (http://www.tinydeal.com/mini-folding...or-p-4038.html)

adrs2k: What!? Why not just go commando instead?

adrs2k 05-08-2012 01:15 PM

Commitment is fun! Gives you something to look forward to the rest of this year. keeps me motivated and looking forward to playing with my car :tipwink:

Ahh commando...No can do, I like the extra boundary layer between my body and the seats

Commitment is fun? What planet are you from? LOL!

Seriously though, normally I would have no problem with planning that far ahead for an event like this; however, this year is the year I swore to myself that I was going to go to Italy. And I was figuring on doing that at either the end of September or beginning of October. It is unlikely I could swing both Italy and the Devil's Highway trip so I should focus on the bigger one, you know? But yeah, this sounds like a hoot and I think it would be a lot of fun!

LOL, it twas a joke, although committing to car events SHOULD be fun!

Well stay in touch, maybe there will be a way for you to do both.

Hey Adam, Murphy's the one who organizes those EOM Runs in Santa Monica I told you guys about. Just came back from my second one. I'd try to make a weekend out of it and get a group up there at some point... just throwing it out there

Hey guys. This is all some good talk and info. Would love to put something like this together. Lets move all this talk to another and new thread though. I dont want to derail this any further. If you wouldn't mind creating a new post, and maybe copying all these posts regarding ortego over to the new thread, and deleting these posts in here. Just trying to keep it clean in case new people start reading through and are looking for Wake the Devil info.

:hello:
