NW Arkansas: Looking at an an S2K, anyone available to check it out for me?
I live in Ohio, but am looking at buying a car in NW Arkansas which is a bit of a drive for me. Just wanted to see if someone in the area might be able to go take a look at it, test drive it and see what they think?
So far the pictures etc look great, just want some confirmation of the mechanicals. EDIT: Car is in Bentonville |
Where is the car located? Fayetteville, Rogers?

Give us some details and photos. Must be pretty special to travel 700-1000 miles to look at/buy! :) Just looking at Autotrader there are a couple dozen for sale within a couple hours of Columbus (city picked at random as it's central Ohio).

-- Chuck Plus it's a southern car and not exposed to the Ohio salt https://www.autowerksofnwa.com/inventory/2007-honda-s2000-roadster-convertible |

Sounds good! I fully understand wanting a specific car and this one matches my specs during my search 5 years ago. Mine looks just like the one you're considering. Gorgeous car! :) And can be fairly inexpensively tuned for surprising more mid range power/acceleration.
I bought my 2006 in Columbus in 2014 and from the looks of the underside it had never seen Ohio road salt, nor has it since! I'd still have the underside checked in Arkansas. You intend to fly out and drive back or bring it back on a UHaul trailer behind your pickup? I'd have no reservations driving my '06 that distance assuming the tires were good and there was recent oil in the engine. Looking at the VIN this car is only a couple of months newer than mine which just missed being an '07 by a couple of weeks. Looks like originally Carolina car with lots of routine service history. If you've not done this there's lots of information available at myCARFAX dot com. Just register, it's free, -- Chuck |

The guy I'm getting it from bought it from someone who worked for Honda, so hopefully it's well kept. Not sure if I'll fly down or rent a car yet. I have a friend who might make the trip with me. He just bought one as well |
I will not allow a southern s2000 up north! Haha

Don't worry, I brought my formerly Yankee S2000 down from Ohio to Virginia 18 months ago. :)
