Taste of Bavaria
I am going to lead a Sunday drive through North Shore roads and on to have a wonderful German Breakfast in Pontchatoula.
At "Taste of Bavaria" you will be overwhelmed with an authentic taste of classic southern German cuisine. You’re not likely to encounter anything closer to the real deal anywhere in Louisiana. The menu was concocted by German residents and perfected over 25 years! You’ll feel like you’ve stepped straight into the heart of Bavaria!

I am planning to leave Target parking lot in Clearview Mall at 10am. The drive will take two and half hours and we will have a 12:30 brunch at "Taste of Bavaria".
This is the route that I planned to take. Note: The route shows leaving the restaurant and taking Hwy 22 southwest toward Gonazales and then I-10 back. I have never driven this road which is why I want to drive it. An alternate quick return route is to take I-55 South from the restaurant and return to Metairie.

So, if you want to "hard drive" instead of "hard park" and use the car for what you bought it for; come on out.

Not at all! Bob Breck has it clearing out by Sunday morning.
If the rain is gone and I see the sun, I am on the road.
Will post my intention Sunday morning.

Weather looks good enough for me. I AM GOING ON THE DRIVE!!!!
Weather looks good to the North. I believe it will be sunny on the Northshore.
What the heck; top down until it drizzles.
Will be at Target at 10am and will wait for a bit to see if anyone shows up.

DRIVE WAS FANTASTIC!!!!! 5 HOURS - 205 MILES - Left at 10:15 and returned 3:15
10 Minutes of rain in Mandeville; Top down the rest of the way. Twisty roads were fantastic. No traffic. Restaurant was amazing. Spent about an hour at the Taste of Bavaria. Hwy 22 back to Gonzales revealed some real twisty roads. Took a side trip to Tickfaw State Park.
