If you have the time. It is really easy to do. If you need the bent feeler gauge. I can let you borrow mine.
It took me about 1hr to do mine. I was in the same situation as you wanting to bring my car somewhere to do a VA but, I did some reading on it and jumped into the job myself. Best thing is you know it was done and done right.

Yup. Tyson is right. Even with little mechanical experience, the diy posted on s2ki will get you through the job. I am also sure that someone locally could come assist you with a little liquid persuasion...

I will do it for very cheap if your interested. I have done valve adjustments on a many a honda, including s2000, many times. I also have a brand new valve cover seal set I will sell you for cheap.
