Your ideas concerning 4.77 gears
I have a chance to get 4.77 for basically free, but i am not sure i want to slap them in my DD.
Have you, or do you, have a different than stock gear ratio, and what do you think of it?
Also, if you don't mind, include your average gas mileage.

I have mixed feelings about mine too, but if you do a lot of city driving then they would be lots of fun, I've done a 6hr highway trip, that wasn't fun with my test pipe and gutted single exhaust! Maybe 1hr highway trips are almost bearable with an exhaust.
As far as gas mileage goes, I don't have a stock geared S to compare it to, but I get decent mileage, vtec in sixth is at about 95mph so as long as you're under that then I doubt it would be a considerable difference.
All that being said, I'm planning on trading mine for stock since I live so far out of town and like to take looong road trips, just some things you should think about!

Thank you for the post, i appreciate it. I never drive more than an hour and a half, and i have stockish exhaust. I think i am going to go for it, because it won't be hard to get another stock diff if i change my mind.

Yes thats why I got rid of mine. You will HATE them on a track. You will have to shift nonstop and they will hinder your performance more then help. To me Al has the best set which are the 4.44s. Course hopefully Al will chime in but he said it seemed to hinder him on autox

Well that's weird, my buddy was running 5.62 in his k24 ITR full race car, and he, as well as some of the other track gurus said gear would really help on the road course.
I'm more interested in what they would do in the 8th mile.

Well they are going to improve acceleration as your rear end is your FD and is a multiplier. The s2000 is a 6 speed and already has a close gear tranny. I am sure it will help out some cars and also will greatly depend on your application. If you want good drag times get them if you are going to track the car then thats going to be preference. I am speaking from experience I have taken my car through many routes and ultimately went back with 4.10s.
