I don't speak Japanese, but while I'm here, would love to meet up with some owners and see locals racing (be it in the street, track, whatever - maybe even watch some drifting).

Any ideas where to go (website, area in the city, etc)?

btw, I have friends here who speak Japanese ok, but are not into the scene.
