vacationing in australia

My wife and I are taking a months vacation 1 week in Austrailia and the rest hopping around the Indo Islands.

I want to ask which part of Australia would it be best for us to stay considering the vast landmass and tons of national parks. We definitely want to visit the Opera House.

Cheers!

We have a friend in NZ thats been living there for 4-7 years beautiful landscape there. I'll have to contact him, I'm sure he is familiar with AUS.

Oh, good luck to the socceroos in the Asian Cup.

if your only doing a week in Aus, Sydney and maybe up to the QLD for the sunshine or gold coasts.

Yeah, dont come to Melbourne, we shoot Americans here on site lol

If you want to do the stereotypical tourist tour of Australia, stick to Sydney and the Sunshine Coast, as you will get your fill. Nothing like big brash Sydney to knock the Aussie into you!

If you prefer travelling ans discovering places, Melbourne is worth a shout, but we don't have sunny beaches and lifeguards, much more hidden city laneways with tiny boutiques and coffee shops.

Taking a Californian analogy, Sydney is like LA, the Gold Coast too, but much more your Malibu and Venice beach type LA, Melbourne is much more like San Diego with a bit of SF.
