That's noy my ITR!
That's not you?!?! It's certainly an IT-R, but I thought it was Iggy ... I wonder who it is? Well, what do you know ... I'll rename the clip name so that there's no confusion.
Just had a look at the video again... my god that was a shite lap!!!!
Around 1:56 fore that lap if I'm not mistaken. Though, nice camera mounting and also nice line through the U-turns ... in particular thought the last one of them. I'll try it next time I'm there and see what the times say.
Does anyone still have my Phillip Island video? the 2:01 lap?
I looked through my drives and did not find it :-(

In the end it gets down to mental attitude and how you treat a series of linked corners.
Some people get through the first corner as fast as possible and worry about the second corner when they get there. Others think about what's best for that section and plan ahead.
Only the stopwatch can say which is the better method.

I was at Winton yesterday and managed to get the time down to 1:40.08. Probably thanks to some of the advice/analysis done in this thread.
Now I need another 1/10th to get into 1:39s ;-)
ps. Would have been awesome to have a data logger on board, and compare the new and old laps.

Great time David. I'm sure you'll break into the 1'39's in due time.
Just out of curiousity, although I have a feeling you may have mentioned it before...but what was your PB for the S2K @ Winton?

Thanks Neo ... 1:39s can't be too far away.

I never had the S2000 there with R-spec tyres so the times are not totaly comparable. Still, with the OME S02s I managed 1:44.70 as my best.
I'd use Tony's 1:42.56 as the S2000 bench-mark time as he was always quick, and was on R-spec tyres. As far as I know it's still the quickest time for any (N/A) S2000 over there.
ps. When are we going to see you at the track? ;-)

Nice work David.
Thanks Blackie.
You got a video link?
No sorry, did not have a camera man this time so no footage :-(
Have you had any track 'moments' since getting the Z?
Believe it or not, I have not had any on the track. I've spun the can at DECA (ie. on the skid pan), but not on the track.
Closest to a 'moment' that I've had would be at HSCCV Winton end of last year when I had Dan in my car. I came out of turn 2 a little bit too hot but stayed on it and the back stepped out a fair bit ... would have been at around 120kph at that stage. I did manage to catch it, but I ended up throwing the car all the way from the left hand side of the track to the right side with 2 wheels on the dirt/grass.
The car is incredibly stable so in that respect it's relatively uneventfull.
ps. How have you been ... have not seen you around for a while?
Thanks Blackie.

Yes I sat in Iggy's car at DECA and the Z felt incredibly planted, even on a skid pan. The brakes are absolutely awesome too.
Been busy but all's good. Hope to catch up some time if I can get my arse to another track day.
