AEM VS K&N Intake
#11
I recently got a PRM as well
I tossed a coin between k&n and prm for quite a while. Not sure about k&n as I have no first hand experience, but I strongly recommend PRM without reservation. Also, it's defect-free.
I thought of AEM as well. I didn't worry too much about hydrolock as my S is a weekend toy, but didn't like the trimming of the inner liner to fit it.

Prm intake sounds great and performs well and you can't get defected for it

I got defected late last year for wheels and sitting to low and when I was asked to pop the bonnet the officer was happy with the intake and said I had he had no issue with it

This is good to know. Thanks

whats the fuel economy like? I found with the k&n that i was getting less km's then the stock airbox, it was like it needed a VAFC or something to tune up the fuel map after altering the stock airflow by changing the intake.

it worsened a little(not by much though) at first because i WOT'd and vtec'd a lot to enjoy the growl. having driven just like I normally do, i can confirm it doesn't affect the fuel economy at all.
