Anyone want to Groupbuy Toda cam springs?
With the recent death of a couple of F20Cs world wide (3 in Australia that I know of, I have seen 2 personally), I am very very paranoid about redlining my little toy. First it's overrev, now it doesn't seems like overrev is the cause anymore.
I believe that the "valve float" is the cause of many of these failures. Could this be as a result of the OEM valve springs wearing out and not closing the valve quick enough to avoid the piston? I am not game enough to take that chance any more.
Toda valve springs are stronger than the OEM and will hopefully prevent this problem. I am keen to go for the cams as well but I don't think they will benefit FI application. I am only after the valve springs at this stage.
Toda racing Australia stocks these springs. It looks like around $800 + installation. I think this is a fair cost to insure against engine failures. Does anyone want to group with me?

The guys in the US think that the agressive overlapped intake and exhaust cams' opening may cause loss of power with FI ie the forced intake goes straight out through the exhaust.
I am still waiting for an answer from Toda.

1. TODA Racing valve springs to suit the F20C (S2000) are priced at $695 per set
2. Spec A1's, Spec A2's, Spec B's, Spec C's & various Vtec Killer profiles...TODA camshafts will suit your supercharged application
3. Spec A~C cost per pair. $1850
Group buy of 2~3 = 10% discount
Group buy of 4~5 = 15% discount
Group buy of 6+ = 20% discount

Does anyone know which cam is the best for 6.5 psi induction?
Please let me know if you are interested...hopefully we can get the 20% discounts
Shadow dancer, I am definitely getting the valve spring at this stage. I have to think about the cams....need to do more research as no one has try Vortech + toda cam combination yet

If you get hold of a set of springs get one extra and I'll see if I can get similar spec springs made locally.
I use "clone" TRD valve springs from a local manufacturer which are 1/4 the price of the original TRD springs. They are cheap enough to change each race season and I've never had one fail (yet).
