Hey all

Got a question regarding the centre console conversion from AP1 to AP2.

When installing the AP2 (06+) console into an AP1 (2003, which has the demister plug in the centre console), has anyone figured out a way to successfully (and painlessly) get the AP2 demister button to work with the AP1 wiring? The 'pins' for the AP1 plug are different to the 'pins' in the AP2 plug - probably due to the difference in wiring in the entire electrical system.

I don't mind going without the demister but it is always nice to have everything work...

Did some research and could really only find quite complicated solutions, such as re-wiring things left right and centre. I am dis-inclined to mess with the car's wiring too much and therefore am just wondering if anyone, though probably unlikely, was able to find a simpler solution?

I would be surprised if the wires had changed. It's probably just s different plug.

See if Hardtop Guy has a conversion kit (short lead with male and female plug/sockets).

If not I'm sure someone in the US has been through this.

Yeah I was sure upon research I would find a solution... but everyone who mentioned it seemed to do some super complicated re-wiring job.

I'll give hardtopguy a try though, cheers.
