Default Best AP2 coilovers - recommend

Hey guys

I'm in the market for coilovers. I've just jumped from an ap1 into an ap2.

I don't want to lose the feel and stability of my current s. It feels more planted than the ap1 and that's what I love about it.

What coilovers would you recommend on a budget of around $1500-1600? I want to lower it about 25-30mm however want it to be fairly soft (maybe like the ap2 is now, or slightly stiffer) as long as tees coilovers don't turn my ap2 into a tail happy mofo like the ap1 is.

Looking at bilstein pss9s at the moment or ground control coilovers?

Thoughts?

Oh and yes I've searched and found nothing in relation to coilovers and ap2

Cheers

Most aftermarket coilover companies do not differentiate between AP1 and AP2 - they make the same coilovers for both.

That too... With your budget, Bilstein PSS9s are probably the best bet. Next step up imo are Ohlins R&T DFV but out of your price range... Or possibly KWs of some sort.

Yeah I think I'll go the pss9. Read a bit on them and seem to be pretty good bang for buck. I'd love to stretch out to kwv3 but they're too much

There is not fitment difference between AP1 and 2. The AP2 just comes with different spring rates and possibly dampers.

So it's really just a matter of which ones to buy. The PSS9s are quite highly regarded but you could be patient and pick up some KWv3s second hand. They often come up.

I would love som kW but my mrs would kill me if I spent that much. If I found some kW for 2k I'd go for it but 2.4 is just that bit too much. Thanks anyway mate

Gee that's cheap as. Maybe I'll wait a bit. If I don't find anything soon I'll go pss9

My mate is selling his tein monoflex. They are vertually new as he's a grandma type of driver and they've run around 2000km only. If you wanted to go for tein
