I would be very surprised if a firmware update fixes this issue. I have been going back and forth with Haltech over the last couple of months testing out prototype ecu's for them to try and help solve this issue. They seem certain that a hardware fix is required and I am still working through this issue with them.

I had the same issue when i first tuned the S2000 on the Haltech. It would misfire one out of 10 dyno pulls. On the racetrack it would misfire a few times at high revs. I told them of this issue and it seemed like they have had heard it from other customers as well. The explanation they gave me is that there is a second cam pulse being registered a the high RPM hence the misfire.

So far so good on the latest firmwire upgrade for the AP1. I haven't had an misfire issue yet. I will however have the car back on the dyno tomorrow for a pre-inspection dyno tune before my trackday on Saturday

Unfortunately not much. I bought another track car about 6 months ago so the S2000 is a little neglected at the moment. That said - I am having the rear calipers rebuilt in preparation for doing some demo runs at Racewars next month. This will be the first chance I've had to try out the new Haltech firmware, so hopefully it all goes well :-)

Thanks toddxxx - good luck with your build.

My engine build has been delayed due to moving house and waiting for more parts like this;
